Hands-on Car Washing Tips | Wash 🚿 your own car.

Hong Kong has many cars and poor air, and with frequent showers, as long as a car is driven or parked on the road for a week, fine dust forms on the car's body. If it gets on rainwater, birds, and other pollutants, it can potentially erode the car's paint. Therefore, car enthusiasts who like to wash their cars usually do so regularly. However, there are some details that require special attention, as being careless can actually backfire ❗

💡. Avoid washing your car
under strong sunlight. Spraying water at high temperatures can cause heat shrinkage and heat reactions, which can damage the paint. It is recommended to wash your car in the early morning, dusk, evening, or indoors.

💡 Washing
from top to bottom: Many car owners mistakenly think that rinsing with water will wash away dust, but the correct procedure is to start with a gentler stream and rinse from top to bottom to remove as much dust as possible. Similarly, start cleaning the car body from the roof to prevent large dust particles from spreading from under the car and scratching the body. It is recommended to use a special cleaner to clean the brake pads to help remove powder from the brake pads.

Just rinse with clean water, then wipe dry with a water-absorbing cloth. Be careful not to wash the car immediately after driving. Because the brake discs are still hot, immediate contact with water or cleaning agents may cause them to deform.

💡 A friendly reminder:

never wash your car or pour car wash water into rainwater drains in public places, as such actions may lead to prosecution.
